Yield: 4 1/2 inch circle
Ingredients:
1/4 c unsalted butter
1 1/8 c all purpose flour
7 g baking powder
1 g salt
1/8 c sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 t milk
Procedure:
- Rub the butter, flour, baking powder and salt using your fingers until it resembles breadcrumbs.
- Combine the sugar.
- Add the egg and milk; mix until it forms into a soft dough.
- Knead the dough into a soft ball and flatten the ball into a 4 1/2 inch circle. You may use a rolling pin.
- Transfer on greased baking tray.
- Bake on a 375 F preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until lightly brown.
- Let the shortcake cool before cutting in half.
