Yield: around 16 pcs

Ingredients:
85 g brown sugar
85 g granulated sugar
127 g unsalted butter
1 egg
1/2 t vanilla extract
185 g all purpose flour
1/2 t salt
1/2 t baking soda (or substitute with 2 t baking powder)
85 g walnuts
170 g chocolate chips

Procedure:
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside.
  • Cream both brown and granulated sugar and butter until light and fluffry.
  • Mix in egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  • Mix in the flour mixture.
  • Fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips. Cookie dough is done!
  • Let the cookie dough rest in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  • Scoop about 2 tablespoon worth of cookie dough onto a well lined cookie sheet. I use a 1/8-measuring cup for consistency of cookie size. You can also use an ice cream scooper.
  • Bake on a 350F preheated oven for 8-12 minutes until the perimeter of the cookies are golden (baking time depends on the size of the cookies and oven).
  • Take the cookies out from the oven and allow the cookies to rest on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack to allow the cookies to cool down completely.
* You can change the cookie flavor by substituting the chocolate chips and/or walnuts with other treats like hazelnuts, peanut butter buttons, etc.

Bon appétit,
Charlotte
